Holy Trinity, Westcott

We launched Eco Church at the Church in Westcott on 29th January 2017 – with talks in our 2 morning services, then at our ‘Celebrate’ all-age service in the afternoon, during which the children put together all the components for a bug hotel, made signs for the church buildings encouraging us all to turn off lights and taps, and created a Tree of Thanks (what we’re thankful for in creation) and a Tree of Promises (personal pledges to help care for the world God made).

And on Sunday 5th February we joined with the wider Eco Church community in an all-age Green Communion. The pledges were part of the prayers, and after the service many of us headed out into the churchyard to construct the bug hotel! And we also had our first Traidcraft stall in church for many years.

All of which helps us to grow as a community, caring for God’s earth, as we work towards our Bronze Award!
