Order an Eco Church Plaque
Let visitors know about your commitment to caring for the environment, and celebrate your Eco Church award by displaying a plaque on the wall of your church.
Hand-made by the Grassmarket community project in Edinburgh, our plaques are made from recycled wood and are suitable for both inside and outside display. They measure 200mm diameter x 20mm thickness and are available in both English and Welsh.
As of Tuesday 5th September 2023, each plaque costs £96 (including postage and packaging in the UK).
Please note, our plaques indicate the level of award achieved as displayed in the pictures above. As each plaque is carefully handmade by the Grassmarket Community project, it is not possible to include unique church names on our plaques.
To purchase a plaque, please follow the instructions in your award congratulations email after you have received your award.
If you decide you’d like to purchase a plaque and you achieved your award in a previous year, please email us at ecochurch@arocha.org, along with your church name, postcode, and award reference.
If you are a Church of England Church in the Diocese of Europe and would like to order a plaque, this may cost slightly extra to cover the postage costs.
The Grassmarket Community project is a social enterprise, supporting placements and apprenticeships, enabling vulnerable individuals to increase their confidence and self-esteem, develop good work ethics, improve their social skills, reliability and resilience, and ultimately work towards further opportunities, including formal qualifications and employment. Therefore, in purchasing a recycled wooden plaque and celebrating your award, you are also supporting their great work!
